ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Process knowledge is a step
towards success.

The constant rise in energy prices creates a massive demand for industrial equipment and process efficiency. Energy is now a substantial cost for industrial plants; efficiency reduces overall cost.

The monitoring of different energy sources present in the process is done by sensors in the field installation.

These sensors can be, for example:

Electric energy counters
Water counters
Oil Counters
Gas Counters
Compressed air counters

Oncontrol has a large expertise in energy monitoring and consequent action implementation to reduce energy consumption.

1. Online Monitoring Solutions
Implementing online monitoring for energetic consumptions lets companies know where they stand and where to implement energy-reduction actions. Correct field values allow the detection of efficiency reduction and measure optimization actions performed in investments.

At Oncontrol we can develop multi-vendor monitoring solutions, with reduced investment costs. Data can be collected by:
Digital signal: Detection of a known consumption of energy (e.g. 1KW);
Analog signal: Normally providing flows or instantaneous consumption (e.g. compress air flow);
Fieldbus communication: Providing consumption information and other components (e.g. quality parameters).

Information can be structured by:
Structure of the plant by sections, sub-section or event machine level;
Split by energy types to measure;
Cost estimation also by plant layout and energy type.
2. Thermal Process Optimization
Alternative heat sources and fuel, with consequent cost reduction, can be used in the industry efficiently. Oncontrol has successful experience in the usage of non-conventional fuel sources:
solar heat
biomass
waste
Usage of multiple thermal sources and advanced control to stabilize thermal energy supply to the process is a unique expertise detain by Oncontrol.

Thermal energy wastes are identified by multiple companies, but lacks the know-how to utilize them again in the processes. Oncontrol have the expertise and experience to map thermal energy losses and study their reusage in the process.
